Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how cookies and similar technologies are used. It applies to OnlineWorker Studio (studio.onlineworker.online), operated by Herman Ngugi from Nairobi, Kenya (“I”, “me”, “my”). It covers the three OnlineWorker sites: onlineworker.online, studio.onlineworker.online and librarian.onlineworker.online.
1. The short version
The OnlineWorker sites do not set advertising, tracking or profiling cookies, and they do not show a cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to. If that changes, I will update this page and ask for your consent first.
2. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as session storage, hold small bits of data in the browser in a comparable way.
3. What these sites use
- No first-party cookies. I do not set cookies of my own on these sites.
- Session storage (not a cookie). A short tag showing which OnlineWorker site sent you (for example “main” or “studio”) may be kept in your browser until you close the tab. It is not sent anywhere automatically; it is added to an enquiry if you send one.
- Vercel Web Analytics. Gives anonymous page-view statistics. It is designed to work without cookies and without following you across other sites.
- Google Fonts. Typefaces load from Google’s servers. This is a request for a font file, not a cookie, but it does share your IP address with Google.
- WhatsApp links. Links to WhatsApp open its app or website, which then apply Meta’s own cookie rules.
4. Controlling cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and clear session storage by closing the tab. Blocking third-party cookies will not stop these sites working.
5. Changes and contact
If I add a tool that uses cookies, I will list it here and update the date above. Questions:
